This page is merely for submitting music for crymod's transcendent audio, i may add my other art.

I like the description you gave the piano part, it was actually the second part developed in the song that gave me the idea of making an earthly/epic composition. Actually I planned to add a lot more improptu playing to it, i.e. a bass guitar line, a few more rememorable melody parts beyond the flute, and of course more piano parts as well. In fact I started working on most of that today...lol...I'm suppose to be writing a paper and I'm pushing my luck.
Oh, and I know exactly what you mean about filling up the track, I swear thats the hardest crap to do. I mean I've been using FL since version 3 I believe, and still I'm having a hard time with it. It's a deep thought process, filling in those sections. From my experience, off of the top of my head mind you, the best filler usually encompass the very low and very high eq ranges, have squarish tonal quality, and reverb helps a lot. I usually try to mix in small amounts of delay to carry the sound further. Like the thunder sounding noise in Crest. But, if you ever need any help with it, by all means let me know.
You know thats exactly what I was thinking of for the middle parts, but I couldn't think of anything. I should have submitted as a WIP as I could have gotten feed back before saying it was complete. But your suggestion is well put, its just so hard to find real good sounding strings. The ones I'm using now come from the directwave plugin. I messed around with it, and basically setup a whole new sound scheme. I'll see what I can't do
Yea I live on the southern side on Lake Houston, but I mean 1960, beltway 8, and 59 are no more than 15 minutes away from my house. It usually only takes me about 30 minutes or so to get to Kingwood. Summerwood and Duesson park are pretty much my backyard...lol
Really? That's awesome, is that like right off of 59 close to the community college and kingwood dr.? Cause I used to go to the Kingwood's community college a while back, so I semi familiar with the area. But after some financial disputes, I ended up taking online classes that I'll hopefully be finishing up next month--if I play my cards right...lol.
Glad to hear it! Yea I think you did a wonderful job with what you had. I was terrible with FL6...lol. My first tunes sounded like cats drowning in jello...if that makes any sense
I may have to look into FL8 one of these days. And from the sounds of things from around Sheezy it isn't that bad either. By the way I live in Houston too!
